QUETTA: MCC Preventive Quetta has lodged an FIR against several accused including Haji Sadiq owner of Haji Muhammad Sadiq & Brothers Goods Transport Company for transporting, warehousing and distribution of smuggled goods.

Haji Sadiq is the prime accused in the murder of Deputy Collector Dr. Abdul Qudoos Sheikh. Haji Sadiq is an Afghan national and his close links with Afgan agency NDS, which is an Indians trained Afghan secret agency. His Pakistani CNIC has been blocked.

Haji Sadiq is a notorious smugglers who has developed relations in Customs, Police and other agencies and their consignments of smuggled goods were never checked or stopped. It was learnt that they used to file one GD at Taftan Customs House or MCC Quetta and this GD was used to transport hundreds of smuggled goods’ consignments.

A senior officer posted in hyderabad has close relationship with Sadiq. It may be mentioned here Hyderabad is the gateway to Punjab, and smuggled goods are transported to Punjab through Hyderabad.

It was known that they used to pay Rs1,000 on each check post and in return  the GD was not stamped by the officials so that it could be used multiple times.

Inspector General FC during a meeting with Customs officials extended his all support and the meeting decided a crackdown on other smugglers including  Nabi Bux Parkani, Bali Khan, Lali Khan, Haji Alauddin (close associate of Sadiq).

During the meeting, Customs officials informed IG FC that whenever they caught consignments of smugglers, they received calls from unidentified and untraceable numbers to release the consignments. IG FC said that his office should be informed immediately whenever any such call was received.

The authorities are also investigating money laundering as well as connection of these smugglers with the law and order situation in Baluchistan, as these smugglers have their well equipped private armies.

To recall, MCC Preventive Quetta raided warehouses of notorious smuggler Haji Abdul Sadiq Achakzai and recovered large quantity of smuggled goods along with fake and forged documents. Four persons were arrested and four trucks load of goods were seized.

On the directives of Collector Dr. Iftikhar, Additional Collector Jameel Baloch and Deputy Collector Asim Rehman are undertaking a rigorous anti-smuggling campaign. The MCC Preventive team headed by Assistant Collector Akmal Durrani warehouses at Suryab Road. The warehouses belong to Haji Abdul Sadiq and his brothers.

The raiding team recovered large quantity of smuggled goods including areca nut, gutka, machinery etc. Moreover, fake and forged GDs, bilty documents and other documents were also recovered.

Examination of documents revealed that the smuggled goods were transported against the bilties of M/s All Pakistan Goods Transport Company, M/s Sitara Al Sadiq, M/s Sitara Al Masood Goods Transport Company, M/s Al Hassan Goods Company Quetta and M/s Haji Muhammad Sadiq & Brothers Goods Transport Company to different cities of the company.
